I’ve worked in food-service for the past 6 years. I was never able to be a supervisor due to the time requirements, but I did train many, many, new employees. Still working on my undergraduate degree. At 23, I feel that I should have a new type of job, in a new type of place. Fortunately, an opportunity has arisen thanks to the recommendation of a friend. I now have a phone interview scheduled for an inbound call center here in town. It should pay roughly per hour, 40 hours per week. Its a cubical environment and I am very excited. However, I’ve never actually had an interview before, or at least, not like this one.
Tomorrow is the phone interview, which is no doubt a prescribing to eliminate people who are not articulate. I am not one of those people. Furthermore, I doubt I’ll be having any issues with the ‘meat’, job experience, sales-how to do them, guest relations. I excel at all of these elements in my current position, and I shall explain as to why. In so far as what I may not have been so good at, well, I won’t be making guacamole at chase bank.
What I’m more nervous about is the actual interview itself. The type of dress is business casual, but I have two suits.

I’m new to the city and have been using public transportation for about three months. I tend to rely on the google maps app on my iPhone to tell me which stops to take. I live in the Lower Haight by Church St. & Duboce so as you can imagine I have lots of options: the J-Church, N-Judah, or walk to Market St. and catch the other trains.

Frequently, my phone tells me to catch the J-Church at Church & Duboce, but the train never seems to stop there. As soon as it comes out of the tunnel from downtown, it hangs a left and proceeds toward Market and lets people on/off at 14th & Church. But going the other direction (inbound), one is able to catch the J-Church @ Duboce on the side of the Safeway.

Why isn’t there a stop at Duboce for the outbound trains?

West corporation or West Marketing has a website that states they are hiring At Home Agents. I cannot find there business address, nor can I find out how much the hourly wage is. I am a college graduate, and this job may be the right ticket to get some decent income until the job market improves.

ok im thinking about getting a job as a inbound telemarketer for a company called west corporation. what i would have to do is take calls when people have questions about their light or gas bill or just want to set up payments. anyway about a year ago i went to training for west but i couldnt catch on.
