I am a newbie to SEO and I am struggling to increase my traffic. I have followed all of the general advise, such as commenting on forums, blogs, submitting articles etc – but every now and then I see software advertisements stating that there is an alleged web 2.0 glitch/defect which is supposed to create huge surges of traffic.
Unfortunately I do not have the best part of 0 to purchase said information, so I wondered if anyone knew what this glitch is supposed to be and how it is used to increase traffic?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

I receive various marketing messages which are sent to my cell phone on a regular basis and they stay on the screen until I hit dismiss (keeping my back light on). They are not text messages and they don’t show up as a missed call or even an inbound call so there’s no phone number to block even if my phone supported that function. Also there is no where to unsubscribe or opt out and there is no websites on the advertisements either. Any idea how to get these annoying messages. My service provider is MetroPCS so I stopped in my local MetroPCS store but the people working in the store were as clueless as I am.

Is there any free method of drawing traffic to a website or blog?
Many companies advertise that upon payment of a 7 fee, they will post your blogs and generate traffic to your blog or website guaranteeing you income in excess of $ 2000.00 each and every month.
These types of advertisements sound like scams.
So, how do one generate traffic to a blog or website?

Search results on Google are as follows :-
(a) Sponsored search results on top. These are basically paid advertisements.
(b) Organic search results. These are not paid ads, but those that Google genuinely thinks should rank high on the search for the keywords you entered.
(c) Sponsored ads on the right.
What’s the difference between (a) and (c) ?
Thanks in anticipation.

I am trying to convince some people that incorporating video advertisements and testimonials is far more effective than flat, dull text ads. A picture is worth a thousand words, right? Somewhere, I have read results from some tests or surveys which confirmed that a video has a higher click thru and conversion rate, but I cannot find that source now that I need it. HELP!?!
